One Simple Goal

At Headway Sports we have one simple goal: “To accelerate the development of youth soccer across America.”

To achieve this goal in the most efficient way, we’ve chosen to focus on coaches’ development. There are currently millions of youth soccer coaches across the US & many of them have little to no experience in soccer and/or coaching. The coach is an extremely important part of the team so, to produce more skilled, healthier, happier players, we’ll need better coaches.

We’ve already worked with over 50 local coaches in camps, team training and, more recently, coaching clinics. We’ve just launched our coaching manual “Soccer Coaching Made Simple”
and our online coaches’ support service CoachAssist.

Meet Coach Diego

“My name is Diego Arrieta and I’ve been playing soccer for 19 years, mostly as a midfielder and defender. I’ve been coaching soccer players for 6 years and my certifications include the NSCAA’s Advanced Youth VI coaching license, as well as my CPR and First Aid certifications by the Red Cross.

I love playing soccer but my true passion is sharing knowledge and helping others improve. My personal goal is to make a positive impact in as many soccer players as possible. To that purpose I provide training for players and support for coaches that want to better lead their teams. I’m fortunate to have been able to help lots of players and coaches already, but there is still plenty of road to go and I am looking forward to making a bigger impact on soccer players and coaches across the US”
